RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines women's volleyball team has added another home match to its schedule for the 2012 season. The Lady Hardrockers will play Colorado Christian University Sept. 9 (Sunday) with a 1 p.m. start time at the King Center in Rapid City.
The matchup is a welcome addition for the Lady Hardrockers who now have five home contests this year. The team had a very successful 2011 campaign, finishing with a 27-5 overall win-loss record and had the second best season in Lady Hardrocker history.
"I am excited that we were able to add another match to our schedule," said Lady Hardrocker volleyball head coach Tiffany McCampbell. "The more chances SD Mines has to play at home in front of our supportive fans I'll take it."
Colorado Christian University is a NCAA Div. II member apart of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference located in Lakewood, Colo. Last year the Lady Cougars finished with a 20-19 overall record and just missed out on qualify for the RMAC tournament.
"Colorado Christian has a great volleyball program and they will give the Lady 'Rockers a real challenge on the court," McCampbell said. "I am really looking forward to playing them. Fans will be in for a real treat."
