RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines football program held its annual end-of-the-season awards banquet Sunday afternoon at the Surbeck Ball Room in Rapid City where the Hardrocker coaching staff handed out several awards and reflected on the 2012 season.
The following are the awards that were presented:
Offensive Lineman of the Year: Senior Brian Freed
Defensive Lineman of the Year: Freshman Zach Zelecki
Offensive Back of the Year: Senior Jamel Rover
Defensive Back of the Year: Freshman Jordan Bell
Special Teams Player of the Year: Senior Kolten Jelden
Rocker of the Year: Senior Jonathan Tristao
Robert Wharton Memorial Award (SD Mines Faculty Supporter): Professor Carter Kerk
Grubby Award (Parent Supporters): Missy and Wayne Munson and Randy and Andrea Wilkison
