RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota School of Mines Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a "Grubby's Gifts" charity drive Saturday during the Hardrocker men's and women's basketball games against Dickinson State at the King Center in Rapid City.
Hardrocker SAAC members, asked for donations to help a local family in need, raised $207 plus several bags of clothes, shoes and children's bedding.
"I would like to send a big thanks to everyone that contributed to our Student Athlete Advisory Committee's 'Grubby's Gifts' initiative this past weekend," said SD Mines SAAC advisor Tiffany McCampbell. "I am happy that we can help this family in their time of need --- especially during the Holiday's."
The SD Mines SAAC members will deliver the donations to the local family this week.
