
RAPID CITY --- Several South Dakota School of Mines student groups are coordinating with the Hardrocker Athletics Dept., to plan a food drive supporting “Feed South Dakota” and the campus food pantry during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.
Hardrocker students will be collecting food at grocery stores on Jan. 21 as well as placing drop boxes around the SD Mines campus during that week prior to MLK Day. Drop boxes will also be set up during the SD Mines men’s and women’s basketball games Jan. 7 at the King Center.
For Hardrocker fans attending the game, $2 will be knocked off the price of admission with the donation of two food items to support the SD Mines food drive.
The Hardrockers face Valley City State Jan. 7. The women’s game is slated for a 5:30 p.m. start with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m.
