ALAMOSA, Colo. --- The South Dakota School of Moines men's basketball team finished off the 2012-13 season Sunday afternoon against Adams State College in Alamosa, Colo., where the Grizzlies defeated the Hardrockers, 84-55.
Adams State took it to the visitors and established a 17-point halftime advantage, 42-25, and then outscored SD Mines in second period, 42-30. The Hardrockers shot 32 percent from the field converting 16-50 baskets while the home team made good on 32-65 for 49 percent.
The Grizzlies got some great production from their bench scoring 37 points and also did well below the basket collecting 47 points in the paint.
Individually for the Hardrockers, freshman Konor Kulas paced his team with 14 points, Andrew Rebol tacked on 11 points and sophomore Calvin Thomas contributed with nine points and seven rebounds.
The Hardrockers finish the year with a 17-9 record and marks the fifth winning season in a row for SD Mines.
